Betty is a sweet 5 year old girl. Before we rescued her she was a puppy mill slave. She spend her entire life in a cage. Because she had no person to love her and train her she is still a work in process. We feel it's best to find her "furever home" now so she will finish her training and bond with the person or people she will spend the rest of her life with. Keeping in mind she had never had anyone speak to her she's done very well in training. People had talked around her but not to her. She was in pain when she came to us and we found she needed to have 7 teeth pulled when we had her spayed. We've never had a dog with teeth quite as bad as Betty. Considering the amount of pain she was in she was amazingly sweet. Now that she has clean teeth and the bad ones are gone she's even more sweet. She had a full dental while she was under. House training is coming, loves to go for walks and will potty most the time during that time. She loves her crate, probably because that's where she spent her entire life before foster care. Betty is learning about toys, and playing with other dogs. She is very insecure and responds very well to praise. She wants to please and is so grateful for any love and attention it's heart warming. She will run from loud voices, and if corrections are too firm, it hurts her feelings. Betty's only vice is men, she just does not like them at all. Will not approach or let them touch her. I believe this will pass as she gets to know real men who are kind and loving. Betty's ideal home is one with a single woman or couple who is willing to give her the time and attention she needs to trust people. Someone with a a lot of time that wants to lavish her with love and attention. Again she wants to please and responds to positive training. She is a beautiful soul a soft brindle girl who weights 22 lbs, Betty is spayed and up to date on all vaccines, is micro chipped, heart worm negative and on heart worm preventative. If you can open your heart to a beautiful soul she will reward your kindness for years to come. Is Betty is the one for you. You will be truly rescuing her.
