Our mission, goal and passion is to give shelter to all Boston Terriers regardless of age health or disposition. We believe all deserve a chance a new beginning. We work with veterinarians and animal behaviorist to give each Boston the best chance at the life all domestic animals deserve.
All of the Boston’s that come to us are spayed or neutered, brought up to date on rabies and all other recommended shots. They are tested for heart worms and have a wellness blood panel that test 9 other internal organ and cell count functions. We microchip all of our Boston’s. No Boston will leave us until they are healthy, heart worms and other conditions that can be treated are treated. Ongoing conditions are fully disclosed and necessary treatments explained prior to adoption.
We require a completed application, references, both veterinary and personal. If those check out we visit the home. We do not adopt on a first come basis. Each of our Boston’s was given up for a reason and has a past. Their unique personalities need to be matched with human counterparts. Some people will be matched quickly others must wait months because only the right family will adopt each of our Boston’s.
We do not believe euthanasia is inhumane if carried out in a peaceful humane way. If and only if there is no possible way a quality pain controlled life can be achieved through veterinary treatment, surgery or any means we will on strong recommendation of our veterinarians hold them in our arms and let them go peacefully and painlessly with respect and dignity.
Our Boston’s are fostered in our homes for as long as it takes to get to know them and treat any health issues they may have. Treatments are explained in our application and to individual applicants on a per dog basis.
